The JumpBox Story

JumpBox was founded in July 2006 with the goal of making the deployment and management of server software dramatically easier. Our original goal was to build what we called the "Project Box" which was a drop in set of tools for managing multi-user software projects. We knew the tools already existed in the Open Source world, but the accessibility of the tools was limited by the difficulty of getting them installed. So we set out to solve that problem and along the way ended up building a general platform for delivering server based software in a dramatically easier fashion. Based on that platform, we've released a number of JumpBox bundled applications including the JumpBox for Trac software project management which fulfilled our original goal.

JumpBox is based in Tempe Arizona and was founded by Kimbro Staken and Sean Tierney.
