JumpBox for the Alfresco Content Management System
Ready to run Virtual Machine/Virtual Appliance for VMware, Parallels, VirtualBox and Amazon EC2 Cloud Computing
Alfresco is an Open Source Enterprise Content Management (ECM) system that provides features for Document Management, Collaboration, Records Management, Knowledge Management, Imaging and content management. Alfresco is an extremely powerful system that’s known for being a bit painful to get running. With the JumpBox for Alfresco that’s a non-issue, you just download and run and within a couple minutes you’ll have a production ready Alfresco installation.
The JumpBox has Alfresco configured with a MySQL back-end and Tomcat setup as it’s servlet engine making it a solution ready to serve small team production workloads or simply as an evaluation platform before rolling out a larger manual installation. In addition to standard Alfresco document management, the installation also includes the Web Content Management (WCM) and Alfresco Share modules.
This JumpBox is based on the 1.7 JumpBox Platform and includes a backup system that supports archiving the state of the JumpBox to NFS, Windows File Shares and Amazon S3.
What is a JumpBox?
A JumpBox makes using server software quick and simple. It packages an application's software, dependencies, and application data into a single virtual computer that enables you to focus on the application, not the details of getting the application to run.
