NOTE: The company behind Dimdim is no longer releasing updated versions of this application. For this reason we've had to end of life this JumpBox and no further updates will be released and support is not available. The software still works up to the level of its last release and may still be useful in some circumstances but some more advanced features may cease to function as dependent technology evolves. Dimdim lets you host online meetings complete with video conferencing, digital whiteboard collaboration, screen sharing and "co-browsing" to navigate the web with others in real-time. The meeting's host can hand control over to a participant and allow that person to drive the meeting and share his/her desktop. Mark up Powerpoint presentations, PDF documents and other digital assets in real-time while discussing your edits with participants. Dimdim allows you to quickly invite new participants to meetings already in progress via email. Flexible chatting capabilities mean you can post public messages to the group or chat privately with individual participants. Why a JumpBox?As a complex Java application the Open Source community edition of Dimdim requires considerable technical expertise. It presumes that you have dedicated hardware and an "always-on" instance. With the Dimdim JumpBox and an Amazon Web Services account you can launch an instance to use for a virtual meeting when you need it and shut it down when you're through. Pay for only the time and bandwidth you consume, get SaaS-like convenience while retaining full control over your meeting software. Practice running a meeting on a local instance on your virtualization system and then pay for hosting only when you're ready to conduct the actual meeting. Features & BenefitsCollaborate with up to twenty participants using the shared whiteboard, real-time group editing of documents and presentations, video and audio chat, "co-browsing" a shared internet browser and screen sharing. All features work on both Mac and PC. Control the flow of the presentation as the host with override capabilities that allow you to restrict participants' activities. Hand off control to a meeting participant and recover it at any time. Selectively adjust the audio level of any participant. Use the "waiting room" feature to create a queue of meeting attendees and set up your presentation before allowing anyone to enter the meeting. Capitalize on Dimdim's integration with other Open Source products Moodle and SugarCRM. Extend Dimdim with customized integration by leveraging their open API's. Conquer time and distance and maximize your team's productivity with face-to-face conferencing and collaboration on your terms. What is a JumpBox?A JumpBox makes using server software quick and simple.
