SnapLogic enables better decision-making by allowing you to quickly integrate or "mash-up," then view data from your files, applications, databases, and other common data sources without writing a single line of code. You've got valuable information stored in different places. What insights could you gain if only you could integrate your data quickly? SnapLogic's Data Integration Framework lets you do just that. SnapLogic enables a building-block approach to address data integration requirements. Using a simple, browser-based drag-and-drop interface, you'll choose components, that allow you to read data from information sources such as databases, enterprise applications, XML documents, files, and even web pages, then configure those components into reusable resources that transform your data. For further transformation, snap resources together. Afterwards, you can output your data in a variety of formats such as HTML, and CSV, and for more functionality add plug-ins (SnapLogic calls them "Extensions") to expand SnapLogic's capabilities. Why a JumpBox?How much is your time worth? SnapLogic has differing dependencies depending on the platform you install it on. For instance, on a Linux system you'll need Python 2.5.x, GCC, and the Python, MySQL, libxml2, libxslt1, and SQLite (version 3) development packages installed and correctly configured. With the JumpBox all of this is ready to go out of the box, just drop it on your virtualization system and get to work. SnapLogic - features and benefitsSnapLogic Server - The SnapLogic Server includes a built in HTTP server that executes and delivers your data transformations. The Server also includes the set of "Components," the building blocks of your integration and transformation. Components - Components eliminate the need for duplicate databases and custom development. Components provide the integration capabilities that allow you to access your existing data from databases, hosted applications, data warehouses, websites, RSS feeds, and more. Resources - Resources simplify your data integration. Configure your components with specific properties and they become Resources, reusable data sources that present data in a simplified format accessible via a unique Uniform Resources Identifier. Pipelines - Snap Resources together into pipelines for more sophisticated data transformations. SnapLogic Designer - This browser-based drag-and-drop interface is your gateway to easy data transformation with the need to write code. Search - Search capability helps you design integration processes much faster by enabling quick access to previously-built SnapLogic Resources. Resources can be found quickly by users throughout your organization. Command line interface - For the command line inclined, this interface lets you enable pipelines to run from shell commands, cron jobs, and other interfaces. Metadata repository - Store and catalog your SnapLogic Components, Resources, and Pipelines and allow others within your organization to build on them. REST-ful design - Forget hand-coding and one time project use. Like the architecture of the web itself, SnapLogic's REST-ful solution standardizes the access protocols, access methods and data structure for every interaction. This Rest-ful design eliminates complexity and maintenance, of your data integration efforts. Extensions - Expand SnapLogic's capabilities with "extensions" available from the SnapLogic Community. Examples include extensions for Salesforce.com and SugarCRM. What is a JumpBox?A JumpBox makes using server software quick and simple. It packages an application's software, dependencies, and application data into a single virtual computer that enables you to focus on the application, not the details of getting the application to run.
