How to enable SSH access to a JumpBoxSubmitted by admin on Wed, 07/11/2007 - 3:07pm.Out of the box JumpBox applications do not allow remote login via SSH. The application should still be fully functional and usable for many cases, but for advanced usage it may be desirable to turn on shell logins. The function to do this is enabled if you register the JumpBox and here's how to turn it on. WARNING: Enabling SSH gives you full access to the JumpBox. This also means you have full access to really break stuff. We try to be helpful, but once you enable SSH, our ability to effectively support the JumpBox comes to an end so be very careful. That out of the way, here's the rest of the story.
Once you do this you have full access to the JumpBox. |

Does NOT work with trial license
This does NOT work with trial license :( I've just tried JumBox 1.0.1 with Joomla15.
After registration, I'm able to remove JumpBox navigation bar, run backups but I'm still getting "You must register and then unlock your JumpBox" message when I try to SSH.
Just too bad that limitations of trial are not described anywhere on JumpBox site. Waste of time and uncertainty if its a bug or by design behavior.

If you are saying you have registered your JumpBox with a key, beta key or otherwise, and then enabled SSH as described above and were then UNABLE to SSH in as the admin user, then you have found a BUG.
There are no deliberate restrictions once you have registered the JumpBox with a key. I will try this out. Thanks for the feedback.

We have confirmed this bug. Thanks for pointing this out. Actually, if you disable then re-enable SSH it will start working.
