Updates all around

New builds for all applications based on the latest JumpBox platform 1.0RC5 are now available. We're really hoping this is the last release candidate before we call a 1.0 release.

Changes in the platform for this release include.

  • Changed registration to no longer require internet access. This now allows you to use a JumpBox without being connected to the internet. You'll still need a network to get the key, but once you have it you can register the JumpBox without an internet connection. This also eliminates problems with proxies and such.Note: This change also means all old beta keys will no longer work with this release, you'll need to signup again to get an updated key.
  • The JumpBox EULA was changed to call out the Open Source licensing for the bundled application. The JumpBox EULA applies to code developed by JumpBox Inc. and the Open Source applications are covered under their respective licenses. We've also added an attributions page to specifically call out other Open Source software that we're using. The list is still a work in progress, but will cover everything before we launch 1.0.
  • Fixed an issue where SSH didn't restart after a JumpBox restart.
  • Fixed an issue where static IP setting was reverting to DHCP addresses periodically.

Along with these platform changes, there were also two application updates in this release. The vTiger JumpBox has been upgraded to the long awaited vTiger 5.0.3 and the SugarCRM JumpBox has been upgraded to SugarCRM 4.5.1d.
