Can you access a JumpBox via FTP?Submitted by admin on Wed, 07/11/2007 - 3:02pm.A common question is how do I access a JumpBox using FTP? JumpBoxes don’t contain standard FTP support, but when registered they do contain SFTP which is functionally equivalent and much more secure. Many FTP tools now have support for SFTP alongside standard FTP. To use SFTP you first need to register and then follow the tutorial on enabling SSH. Once that’s done you can point your SFTP enabled FTP tool at the IP address for your JumpBox and login using the ‘admin’ user. If you’re looking to upload themes or plugins for the application you’ll find the application installed under /var/www. From there, you’ll need to refer to the documentation for the specific application to see where the files should be uploaded. Please post a comment for any questions about this topic. |
