So you've downloaded a JumpBox application and have the zip file, but what do you do next to use it? This set of instructions walks you through the process from having the zip file on your desktop to actually using the application.
- Extract the zip file of the JumpBox application you downloaded to your desktop. Be patient while it extracts the files - this process can take up to three minutes to complete depending on your computer. Once finished you should have a directory of the following files. Double-click on the one that corresponds to the virtualization software you are using (.pvs = Parallels, .vmx = VMware, .xen = Xen).

- We're using Parallels in this example. It throws a dialogue asking if you'd like to convert the VM disk format- Click "Convert." VMware users can skip this step.

- You should now see the JumpBox go through the boot process. When the status bar goes entirely green it will throw the next screen.

- This is the console you get once the JumpBox has finished booting. Note it tells you the IP address of your application.

- Enter that address into a web browser and complete the requested information. Some JumpBoxes are exclusive to JumpBox Open Subscribers and will require that you enter your license key at this point. Most will not require a key and you'll be able to complete the configuration process without registering it. Click "Configure the Application."

- It will think for awhile...

- And you should be presented with a screen like this one that indicates your JumpBox has been successfully configured.
