Hello All,
i have a fresh OTRS JB installation. My Box is able to send Emails over SMTP,
but pop3 does not work.
I have set up Server, Emailadress and Credentials. But it does not work.
Any ideas?

POP not working - still no fix or update to 2.3 available?
Do you have any schedule for a possible fix or update, that will enaple POP3 again?

We finished the upgrade to OTRS 2.3.1 yesterday. The download should appear today on our site:

I'm new to Jumpbox, what a neat concept: Complex Open Source machines built right and maintained. Well worth the yearly subscription...
What a disappointment that POP3 on OTRS is broken, this is such a vital component to the whole point of the application (unless I'm missing something about how mail gets to OTRS) This seems to be an obvious testing parameter before release.
Does Jumpbox have a better estimate than "several days", we're excited to get rolling on our ticket solution and becoming a Jumpbox customer.

Waiting on OTRS 2.3 release
At this point we are planning on waiting for the release of OTRS 2.3, which they claim will release on Monday: http://otrs.org/
I can tell you how to fix it if you have a registration key already. Otherwise, we are likely to release mid to late next week.

What version of the JumpBox are you using? This issue was long resolved. Both the POP3 and IMAP pickup jobs should work correctly and we regularly test that they do. Specifically what troubles are you experiencing?
I don't think there are any environmental issues that would keep this from working for someone. Its just a matter of providing a valid email username and password and if I recall correctly, specifying the queue you want the messages to show up in. It runs on a periodic cron job, every ten minutes I think.

I am certain it has worked in the past. I seem to remember something tricky related to it. I will take a look at this version.

I have log the traffic over my Firewall, but there is no traffic on POP3 port.

Ok, thanks for pointing this out. We have identified a bug and will have it fixed today. It will probably be several days before an updated OTRS JumpBox is released.
