http port
its set to readonly. oh i used Vim hm. maybe thats why. (reading alot, trying to find out how to set a file to readable, then write the info, then save it.
Learning lots of other things tho :)
gk
Yes run 'sudo vi /etc/apache2/ports.conf'
The version of vi that's installed is very limited. You can also install any other editor available for Ubuntu Linux using apt-get install.
hm couldnt u then do sudo on it?
(whats the default editor for jumpbox?)
it seems root owns that file. I don't believe jump box gives us root do they?
Ahh, sorry, the port is actually specified in ports.conf.
I don't see 80 there. DO I need to add something or am I that bad at VI?
You need to edit /etc/apache2/httpd.conf to change the port.
ok I see the thread below now. What file in what location do I need to edit? apache.conf?
Is the http port on punbb jumpbox configurable. If so, how. MY ISP blocks 80.
Thanks,
Tom
