I bought a subscription and am getting ready to try some Jumpboxes, SugarCRM in particular. I bought the subscription because I don't know much about Linux (let's just say none) but I want to be up and running quickly. That's what Jumpboxes are all about, right?
I am going to learn Linux eventually and want to know if I would be able to migrate the SugarCRM application (including all the customizations we make) from inside the Jumpbox to a regular Ubuntu Linux server after I gain some knowledge and experience and setup my own server.

You're exactly right that
You're exactly right that JumpBoxes get you up and running quickly.
Moving to a dedicated server is no more of a hassle that it would be to move a non-JumpBox SugarCRM instance to a different server. So some Linux knowledge would be good, keep track of which files you customize so you know what to move other than the database. These wiki pages will probably help ...

JumpBox is perfect for experimenting and learning Linux. If it is messed up, throw it away and start another JumpBox.
