If SSH is enabled it ought to work but assuming it doesn't and you have at one time enabled it you should be able to log into the JumpBox as the admin user on the console.

To get a login prompt, go to your vmware or parallels console where you see the JumpBox console message and press ALT+F2 or ALT+Right Arrow. You should be able to log in as the user admin with the password you set for the admin interface.

i had been able to get to the box using ssh, why would the connection suddenly be refused? ssh is enabled on our jumpbox.

There are two backup mechanisms in the vTiger image. First, vTiger provides a backup mechanism in its settings page that will allow you to backup to an external FTP site. Or you can use the JumpBox backup, that will allow you to backup the entire JumpBox to a Samba or NFS share.

Which "backup" are you having problems with?

You have entered the Beta Username and Registration key, emailed to you, into the JumpBox registration page in the admin interface?

By default, SSH is disabled. Once you have registered you can then enable SSH access and SSH to the JumpBox as the admin user with the admin password. Once SSH is enabled, you can check the mysql username and password in the /var/data/vtigercrm/config.inc.php file. Then you can access mysql by doing "mysql -u USERNAME -p" using the username and password from the file above.

We are using the vtiger version of the jumpbox and are having problems logging into the jumpbox as administrator. We need access to the code to patch the vtiger code to make the outplugin work according to vtiger support, and they have no idea how to do this. We are also having a problem getting vtiger backup to work.
