Open EMM V6 is out. The update feature of V 5.5.1 on my jumpbox gets errors and does not update the software. When will we see this version upgraded on the jumpboxes, as they say it is a critical release that fixes many annoying bugs

It is literally in testing right now in my other monitor. If things go well, it might be released tonight.

We really need this update as there is a bug in the current version that is preventing us from using this software with our CRM system.
It has been fixed in the V6.0 release.

Hi Eric,
As with all of our JumpBoxes the only upgrade method we supported is using the JumpBox backup and restore mechanism. That is not to say that it is impossible to use other methods, just that we don't validate them. On some simple applications, in application upgrading may work without incident. And you update at your own risk.
It is worth noting, we don't deliberately do anything to prevent these application upgrade mechanisms for working, it is just sometimes the case that our installation decisions prevent those upgrades from working. In the long run, we will work towards accommodating in application upgrades. As far as OpenEMM is specifically concerned, this is the first time it has updated since we made the JumpBox, so we have not had much experience with its internal upgrade mechanism.
The OpenEMM update came out two days ago and has been added to our update queue. In general it takes up to two weeks to do an update and QA on a complicated application. The Thanksgiving holiday and a surprise number of updates that have arrived this week might make the wait for OpenEMM slightly longer than usual. Hopefully it will be available by December 15th.
