Joomla - Virtual Box Installation Video out of date - cant install.

Installation Help

Hi, the video for installing Joomla via Virtual Box is out of date. ie. Virtual Box has updated and changed.

I cant figure out how to add the Primary Slave as Data. It only gives me options for CD or DVD drive.

When I run JumpBox it gives me error - Splashy... time out

Please help.

Is there going to be a fix for this?

I can't MySQL, OpenLDAP or OpenVPN working, all of them just hang during boot.

Virtual Box new version 3.22 is NOT compatible with Joomla JB

Go to the Virtualbox web site and get the previous version, 2.18. This worked for me when I encountered an error trying to open the OVF file with 3.22 Virtualbox.

Where the other version links are, just below you will see something like "older releases."
That takes you to the link.

So until Jumpbox has time to update the Joomla file for the new Virtualbox... (AHEM... please)

I downloaded VirtualBox 3.22 for Mac, and JumpBox for Joomla 1.1.18 and while slow, everything worked.

The difference I found was Hard Disks is now called Storage, and the "tiny button" is at the bottom instead of the right side, and apparently you can use the same button on the IDE Controller line when hilited. In fact, it automatically loaded the data.vmdk disk when clicked. The only other difference was I could not find where to enable the VT-x, so I think that is the reason for the slowness.
