64 bit images - Does JumpBox have any plans if/when they might offer these ??

For some users to really scale they need 64 bit applications that can make use of larger memory machines.

What is JumpBox's direction for 64 bit images of the application library ??

Hello Brian,
Even though I have answered this same question for you, via email, I will answer it again here as well as provide the answer as a FAQ in our wiki. I consider it inevitable that we will eventually offer 64 bit versions of some, if not all of the JumpBoxes. I don't know when it will make sense for us to pursue this, however. So far, I am aware of only a handful of requests for 64bit images out of hundreds of EC2 users.

Which of the applications in the JumpBox Library do you think would benefit the most out of having a 64bit AMI and why?

Your tomcat appliance should be a good candidate, along with MySQL. Anything that could really benefit from having access to the extra RAM.
