What is the root password to access vtiger?
I'm able to access vtiger via ssh using the admin-acount. But for installation of an additional package I need deeper access. I've never changed any root password.
Thanks for your reply. Part of the problem has been that the console is not recognizing the password (or allowing us to log in). We have tried doing what you suggested.
I am not sure what you mean by loopback mounting the disk image, but I am willing to try anything to keep from having to hand enter all this data again.
We have done nothing to the admin password. We had, at some point were able to access the jumpbox using ssh, but the connection keeps getting refused. When we log into the console, the password is not recognized.
Hi,
Sorry this has been a frustrating experience for you. I am sure we can get you access to your vtiger information. Please start off by seeing my response to your other thread to get access to your JumpBox.
The database is only listening on the local machine and thus is not accessible by a remote machine. We don't have any sort of back door to access your machine. In a worst case scenario you can shut down your JumpBox and loopback mount the disk image and set the root password.
Please try logging into the console as I suggest in your other post. If that doesn't get you access let me know.
Since we cannot seem to log on to the Jumpbox via web admin (as the password is refused), and we cannot log into the jumpbox since SSH connection keeps getting refused, we seem to be between a rock and a hard place. We cannot seem to move forward here to backup our vtiger database, and we cannot administer this server.
How do we gain access to this server? We need to copy our database out and install it on another server, and this has to be the most frustrating experience I have had. Can someone please help us? We can't log in to reset the enable ssh, and we can't use ssh!!!
I give up. What is the backdoor into this server? Is there a root account and a means of getting past the gui so we can just log in and get our !!!!!##$$**~~@~!! database?
What is the user account and password for the VTIGER DB so we can access it from another mysql server and get a data dump. This should be part of the documentation!
