Can\'t make it work...

Yeah, we can make it work. The main problem is our assumption that you are going to be connected to a local network. You are just trying to use it locally on your laptop or something.

The easiest way to make this work would be to change the network type in your virtualization software.

Parallels - Ensure your JumpBox is stopped, then under configuration click on the network adapter and choose "Shared networking"

VMWare - Ensure your JumpBox is stopped, then under Settings, Hardware, Ethernet choose "NAT".

If you want to register your JumpBox, which you don't have to do, you will have to be connected to the internet somehow.

I don't have internet at home. Sometimes I use a wireless connection from my university (through proxy and pppoe), and sometimes I use a cable connected to my mobile (a gps).
Today I tried a connection in a free spot (without without pppoe or proxy), and it worked.
I can understand it won't work with the university connection, but isn't there something I can do with my mobile connection?

What environment are you working in? Are you connected to a local network somehow? Wired or wireless? What is your virtualization environment and is it correctly configured to share your wired or wireless network connection? Do you want to just use wordpress locally on the virtualization host or do you want it so others can access it?

The problem is that the JumpBox has not gotten an IP address from a DHCP server. Do you have a DHCP server on your network?

Yes, it starts with 169. So, what can I do? I tried it with different tipes of connections, but nothing.
Any solutions?

Do the ip addresses begin with 169? We assume that you are on a network with a DHCP server that will give the JumpBox an IP address. If it has an IP that begins with 169 then that is a self assigned IP address and the JumpBox wasn't given an IP address by the network DHCP server.

Can\'t make it work...

I've installed everything following the instructions, but the 2 ip addresses (application page and management page)showing after the "ok" list with the jumpbox logo lead me to nowhere!
Where's my mistake??
