I have no firewall running I have tried ssh from both the vmware host and elsewhere. All I need to do is see the files as a windows folder.

Are you running a personal firewall of any sort?

Also, where is the JumpBox running: on the same machine that you are using SSH or elsewhere?

I type the ip address and the connection is refused. Is it port 22 ? is the username "admin" or "root" ?

Please double check that you've followed the instructions at http://www.jumpbox.com/docs/enableshell, and that your SSH client is correctly configured.

thank you ! i really appreciate it. My next problem is that I followed the instructions for shell access and failed to get it to work. Is it port 22? You might want to ship with webdav on apache so that us windows guys can edit files on the appliance. I know that is not your intention for the market, but I need to change files to install modules from sugarforge.

Register the JumpBox and you can turn off the navigation using the Application tool. See http://www.jumpbox.com/docs/disablenav for more detail.
