JumpBox hosting

To remotely host a JumpBox you'd need either Xen or VMware hosting ! So you might like to try either Amazon Xen EC2 & S3 payg hosting services or Oracle Xen VM Server hosting services.

Using 1and1 hosting for Drupal site

A JumpBox is a virtual server with everything installed and setup and it runs in VMware, Parallels or Xen. At this point, there is no way to run a JumpBox at any hosting provider without getting a leased server and installing the virtualization software yourself.

1and1 does shared hosting, leased servers and VPS accounts. They may have some simple way to install drupal, but they would be better able to help you. Or ask somewhere on the Drupal site.

Good luck

Using 1and1 hosting for Drupal site

Hey,

just got Linux hosting from 1and1 and im trying to set up my drupal site but having a lot of problems. I was using this (http://drupal.org/node/75041) help guide which was working out amazing untill i had to set up my SQL databases. and i had to find the file "x:\drupal\drupal-4.7.2\database." and i can not figure out where that file is or if using jumpbox isn't going to let me do this..

Please help me out.. ? Thanks
