backup error on Drupal Jumpbox

Was able to backup ok when hosting the Drupal Jumpbox on Windows XP home but when I moved the VM to Windows 2000 Server attempting to backup gives the error "mount error 112 = Host is down"

Browsing the net I see Windows 2000 needs a registry hack to work with Samba but I was not able to find what is required. Do you know what this hack would be or how I might alter the Jumpbox to allow backup on Windows 2000 Server?

Hi Harry,
Mounting a SMB share from Linux (thus a JumpBox) differs drastically from windows to windows and environment to environment. I don't have a Windows 2000 machine at the moment so I won't really be able to test this. I don't know when I might get a chance to test with Win2k, if you don't get this worked out on your own in a few days, write back and maybe I can find the time.
