How do you edit SMTP settings on twiki

I'm trying to eval the Twiki distribution. Without being able to configure SMTP I'm stuck. Is the idea that I buy paid support so that I can do this?

The relationship between what features are available vis-a-vis paid versus free is quite obscure amongst all the marketing blurb.

Specifically regarding SMTP,

Specifically regarding SMTP, I tend to suggest that people configure it globally in the postfix main.cnf file as shown here.

In general, if you don't see it in the JumpBox admin interface then its something a registered user would have to do for themselves manually on the command line after enabling shell access. We have a number of upcoming features that we are adding to the admin interface and setting an SMTP relay host is likely to be included in the future.

There is one caveat, sometimes the application itself provides a way to configure an SMTP server from the web. In those cases that can be used (even without registration). But I don't recall if TWiki has that or not. I know we provide access to its web configuration page, but don't recall SMTP settings available there.

Good luck,

Austin

SMTP

tried editing the main.cf file (took me forever to figure out how this editor worked), but still no mail.

This email is within the same company....do i have to make any changes to my Exchange server? It's not really outbound mail....it's internal.

Is there ANY other way to get users registered within the Twiki? or to get the email from the jumpbox computer within our domain to send mail to within our domain?

SMTP

I don't know whats up with exchange. If it accepts email via SMTP (which is certainly possible but I don't know if its on by default or not) the JumpBox should be able to deliver email to it. But the suggestions above should at least get your user accounts created.

Good Luck!
