email on Twiki (or any other way to get users registered)Submitted by gmanolis on Fri, 10/12/2007 - 3:20pm.tried editing the main.cf file (took me forever to figure out how this editor worked), but still no mail. This email is within the same company....do i have to make any changes to my Exchange server? It's not really outbound mail....it's internal. Is there ANY other way to get users registered within the Twiki? or to get the email from the jumpbox computer within our domain to send mail to within our domain? |

Go to the following URL,
Go to the following URL, where "IP" is the IP address of your JumpBox:

You'll need to log in -- the user/pass is the same as the admin user for TWiki. Click open the "Security" section, and uncheck the "{Register}{NeedVerification}" box. Scroll to the bottom, click "Next." You'll be prompted once more for the user user/pass, and then you'll be done. This will allow you to create TWiki accounts without the use of email.
user registration

P.S. still don't know why email doesn't work...it LOOKS like it should accept SMTP...oh well, i'll get the users registered for now.
P.P.S. is there any way to force Log On to the main web as opposed to having the TwikiGuest automatically logged on?
I am not sure about the
I am not sure about the forced login. It may be available. You would have to check the TWiki documentation here:

If it is possible, it will probably done through that configuration page, or perhaps on one of those wiki based configuration pages.
