-Downloaded the mediawiki jumpbox file
-Unzipped it
-Downloaded vmware player
-Installed it
-Right-clicked on JumpBox.vmx and opened with VMware Player
-It appears to boot just fine and I get the status screen
-It says to connect to an IP address that has the same subnet as the one I use (192.168.2.x) so it looks like it grabbed an IP address from my router.
-I try to connect to 192.168.2.104 (the address it gives me) and I can't. I can't even ping that address.
-The little ethernet icon at the top of the vmware screen is pushed in and it shows it to be in bridged mode.
Any tips?

Well, it works now! I'm not sure what's different. I did restart several times between now and then. Very odd. Thanks for your help.

Hmmm, can you access it from a different computer, one not hosting the JumpBox? Everything sounds good. Maybe try unzipping a new one? Try switching to "host only" or NATted networking and restarting the JumpBox (I think there is a reboot or restart under the Troubleshooting menu in vmware player) just to see if you can access it.
The vmware player install forced you to reboot right?
I am puzzled.

Do you have a firewall running? And what is your host OS? Windows?
