Today, along with a full JumpBox platform revision across all applications, we released a new vTiger JumpBox based on vTiger 5.0.3. This has been a long awaited update to vTiger and fixes numerous issues with the vTiger code base. It also represents a substantial change to the vTiger database structure.

Here is the process to use to upgrade an older vTiger JumpBox with 5.0.2 to a vTiger JumpBox 1.0RC5 containing 5.0.3.

Note:This requires both JumpBoxes to be registered and keys from previous versions will no longer work in the 1.0RC5 release (although keys for the new release will still work in the older versions).

1. Backup your data from the old JumpBox using the JumpBox Backup tool.
2. Restore your data to the new JumpBox using the JumpBox Restore tool.
3. Log in to vTiger on the new JumpBox as 'admin'
4. Click on settings
5. Click on Migration
6. Select "Upgrade my vtiger 5.x version to Current Version (5.0.3)
7. Choose "5.0.2" as the Source
8. Click Migrate

Hopefully the migration is successful and you can verify the proper functioning of the new JumpBox before retiring the old one.
