We have a Trac/Subversion JumpBox Server running on Free VMware Server v.1.0.2. The initial partition sizes provided are incredibly small and we will likely run out of space soon. How can this be rectified?
What is the best or easiest way to expand the partition or create a new larger partition and import the data?
Here is the current status of its partitions:
admin@trac:~$ df -h
Filesystem Size Used Avail Use% Mounted on
/dev/sda1 956M 285M 620M 32% /
varrun 506M 96K 506M 1% /var/run
varlock 506M 0 506M 0% /var/lock
udev 506M 60K 506M 1% /dev
devshm 506M 0 506M 0% /dev/shm
/dev/sdc1 1008M 328M 630M 35% /var
What is actually being stored on: /dev/sda1 & /dev/sdc1 ?
Where is my Trac Subversion data being stored?
Thanks, Bill
Extenting the partition sizes of Trac/Subversion?
Hi Bill,
I am going to mail you so we can take care of this discussion offline as it might require some back and forth, I will post a condensed version once we wrap it up. Let me know if the email you provided with your account here is inaccurate or something.
Fortunately adding a disk is possible with VMWare. Also, to anyone else who might come across this post, once we release the JumpBoxes on the newer JumpBox platform 1.0.3 they will have larger growable data disks. This should happen before the end of the year.
Austin
Please post this infomation
Please post this infomation for me also, we are using SVN and want to convert our old VSS repositry to SVN, I have managed to produce a SVN dump file of 8GB so I think we another virtual HDD for the converted repositry.
Thanks
Barrie.
