hello there,
we like to use the index.pl as default in otrs and not the
customer.pl.
now i found the index.html in the ots-webroot, which points
to the customer.pl. i tried to change it, but the file is
only accessible by root.
so, do i have to create a root-password, as described in the
forum, to change this or is there another (better) way ?
thanks for your support and soon reply.
greetings marco.
index.pl as default
Sorry about that, thanks for nudging this thread. It seems for some reason, the location of the index.html file has changed in this build. If you have the JumpBox Navigation Bar disabled edit this file:
/var/data/otrs/var/httpd/htdocs/index.html
If you don't have the Nav bar disabled, edit this file:
/var/www/index.html
Sorry about that, we hope to maintain consistency across releases as much as possible. I will try to make sure it doesn't move around again.

Still not working.

Hi Marco, This FAQ should
Hi Marco,
This FAQ should answer your question. Let me know if you need any additional clarification:

Basically, running the editor with sudo will allow you to edit the file:
It will prompt you for a password which will be the admin users password.

Austin, I've done this on
Austin,
I've done this on the new 1.1.2 JumpBox, but it's still loading customer.pl instead. Is there a cache somewhere I might need to clear? I've tried in multiple web browsers with no luck so I suspect a problem on the JumpBox.
